Each month we feature one up-for-adoption pooch from a local animal shelter. This month’s featured pup comes from Twin Cities Pet Rescue. Nelly has been waiting for her forever home since March of 2012. If you have a little extra room in your house (and heart), please consider adopting this beautiful girl.
Age & Size: Approximately 1 year old, 30 lbs
I am a total LOVE bug! I LOVE people and other dogs. I LOVE to go for walks and runs. I LOVE to play. I LOVE pretty much anything that I do – I am a very happy girl. I have been waiting for my home since March, 2012 and the people with TCPR don’t understand why. I am house trained. I am crate trained. I have yet to meet a person or dog that I do not like. I have even met cats and seem to do ok with them too. I am a little energetic, but most people like that about me since I radiate happy energy. I am a very good girl and can’t wait to meet my family.

About Twin Cities Pet Rescue
Overpopulation is a devastating problem for companion animals in this country and worldwide. The Humane Society of the United States estimates that, every year, 6 to 8 million animals enter animal shelters. Of those, 3 to 4 million are euthanized.
If only given the chance, most of those animals would have made wonderful pets.
Twin Cities Pet Rescue was founded in March 2009 with the mission of rescuing companion animals in need — often rescuing animals that are overlooked by other organizations.
