When U.S. Bank Stadium opens later this summer, visitors will be able to enjoy craft beer from some of Minnesota’s smallest and largest craft breweries.
An agreement between Aramark, the stadium’s food and beverage manager, and the Northeast Brewers and Distillers Association (NEBDA) will bring a rotating selection of beer and cider from Insight Brewing, 56 Brewing, Sociable Cider Werks, Bauhaus Brew Labs, NorthGate Brewing, and Fair State to two NEBDA carts, one on each floor of the stadium. Able Seedhouse & Brewery and Dangerous Man may also be added to the roster. Two breweries will be featured at each game on the carts’ two draft lines and it’s possible a third brewery may also be available in tallboy cans.
NEBDA organizer and NorthGate project coordinator Barb Gettel said one of NEBDA’s goals is to expand its members’ reach into markets beyond Northeast, and they saw the possibility of getting into the stadium as a great opportunity to do just that. Gettel said spirits are not part of the agreement for the first year, but that they may look to include spirits in the second year.
In addition, beer from some of the larger Minnesota craft breweries will be available at every stadium event, including Surly, Summit, Lake Monster, Lift Bridge, 612Brew, Fulton, and Finnegans.
MillerCoors is one of the stadium’s largest corporate partners, which will mean a range of their products will also be available.
