Owner of A Perfect Pint and certified Cicerone Michael Agnew gave a brief history of aphrodisiacs such as oysters, asparagus, arugula, figs, chocolate, and raspberries. Then he paired them, cupid-style, with a variety of different beers. Minnesota beers, Bent Paddle, Boom Island, Schells, Dangerous Man, Harriet, and Lift Bridge were chosen to be the Valentine’s to a number of aphrodisiacs. Get your heart racing on Valentine’s by running Minnesota’s oldest winter fun run. Bring the kids, friends, and your Valentine to Lake Harriet. Beginning at 10am, there will be pre-race hot chocolate to keep you warm and when you finish the race there will be Valentine’s Day inspired treats and an after party at Cooper Irish Pub with drink and appetizer specials. Awards will be given out to the top three male and female finishers as well as best male costume, best female costume, and cutest couple.
