The big one is getting bigger.
The 34th Annual Great American Beer Festival (GABF) will take place September 24–26 in Denver, Colorado, and the Brewers Association announced yesterday that this year’s tasting hall will expand by 90,000 square feet to accommodate the expected 60,000 attendees and 800 breweries (2014 attendance was around 49,000 with closer to 700 breweries).
Over the last three decades, the GABF has grown to become the single largest ticketed beer festival in the country. Some 3,500 different beers will be available for attendees to try in the tasting hall, the largest selection of beers in one place at one time in the U.S.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public online at 11am on July 29. A ticket pre-sale offer will be available exclusively for members of the American Homebrewers Association and Brewers Association at 11am on July 28. The festival sold out in 32 minutes in 2014.
