Another award-winning national craft brewery has expanded distribution to Minnesota. AleSmith Brewing Company will begin hitting shelves and tap lines in the state “any day now.”

Twenty years after launching in a small space in the commercial district of Miramar in San Diego, California, AleSmith CEO—and Minnesota native—Peter Zien is bringing his beer back home.

“Minnesota is my home state and I am thrilled to be sharing our finest craft beers with my fellow Minnesotans,” said Zien in a press release Friday.

Distributing through a partnership with Clear River Beverage—who has recently landed such sought-after craft brands as Clown Shoes, Evil Twin, and Crooked Stave—AleSmith’s award-winning handcrafted beers will become widely available in the Twin Cities market in the coming days and weeks.

Clear River Beverage President and GM Bill Huth acknowledges that though there are many breweries across the country producing quality craft beer—some breweries stand above the rest.

“One such exceptional brewery is San Diego’s AleSmith Brewing Company, which under the guidance of Peter and Vicky Zien is proudly celebrating 20 years of making world-class beers,” said Huth in a press release announcing the partnership. “It’s an honor to be selected as AleSmith’s distributor and to introduce their quality beers to Minnesota. We look forward to sharing AleSmith’s outstanding craft beers at our favorite bars, restaurants and liquor stores.”
