Visit Castle Danger on the North Shore Scenic Railroad
Back in the early 1900s the Northern Pacific Railroad would deliver barley, hops, and grains to the A. Fitger Brewery in Duluth, MN. Now, that railroad is used to bring nature and beer lovers together on a trip up the North Shore.
Rides on the North Shore Scenic Railroad will be on Saturdays, staring June 28th and ending on September 13th. They will board in Duluth and travel along side Lake Superior all the way up to Two Harbors, where there will be an included tour of the Castle Danger Brewery, new taproom, and their new beer garden.
Castle Danger, Minnesota is a small community nestled between Two Harbors and Beaver Bay on Lake Superior that is home to Castle Haven and Castle Danger Brewery, both owned and operated by Clint and Jamie MacFarlane. Castle Haven is a family resort built by Jamie’s grandfather in 1933 and has been turned into a resort-brewery welcoming families, beer lovers, and lovers of the North Shore year round.
Saturday trips up the Shore will provide passengers with a tour of Castle Danger Brewery, samples of their three beers on tap, a cold pint of beer, and a lunch from Vanilla Bean Cafe and Bakery.
