Midtown Global Market becomes home to Eastlake Brewing Company in Fall 2014
A new brewery and taproom that goes by the name of Eastlake Brewing Company has plans to open its doors in September 2014. According to the Southwest Journal, the brewery has recently applied to brew and serve beer in the Midtown Global Market in Minneapolis.
The permit Eastlake Brewery Owner, Ryan Pitman, has a applied for is to open a 2,000 square foot space with a 7 barrel brewing system. The small brewery will not distribute, but growlers will be available for sale. There will be a public hearing on Monday, April 7th.
In the same interview with Southwest Journal, Pitman said that Eastlake Brewing Company will create a variety of modern, American-style beers with some “nods” to the Mexican and Vietnamese restaurants in the brewery’s Midtown Global Market home.
