P is for… Pro-Am

The Pro-Am Competition at the GABF brings homebrewers one step closer to their dreams of brewing professionally. Entries are professionally brewed, scaled-up versions of award-winning hombrew recipes from American Homebrewers Association (AHA) members. This year’s competition had a record breaking 100 entries from across the nation. AHA Member Jeff Gladish’s “Poblano,” brewed by Wayne Wambles at Cigar City Brewing, took the gold medal. AHA Member Mike Formisano’s “Charlie’s Brown,” brewed by Peter Bouckaert & Grady Hull at New Belgium Brewing, took the silver medal. And AHA Member Derek Ordway’s “Oatmeal Stout,” brewed by Alex Violette at Upslope Brewing, won the bronze.
