Homegrown Hempen Ale Returns to Fitger’s Brewhouse

The Homegrown Music Festival is returning to the Twin Ports of Duluth, Minn., and Superior, Wis., April 26 – May 3 and along with it comes the return of Fitger’s Brewhouse’s “gateway beer,” Homegrown Hempen Ale.

Described as a “full-bodied amber ale,” the beer is brewed with ground hemp seeds and carries an ABV of 6.5 percent and 64 IBUs.

To help kick off the Homegrown Music Festival, a ceremonial keg tapping of Homegrown Hempen Ale will take place at at 7:15 pm on April 26 at Tycoon’s Ale House, 32 E. Superior St., Duluth. Mayor Don Ness will be on-hand to read a proclamation followed by live music from The Farsights, Boku Frequency and Batteries.
