MN Brewery Tour
When Omar Ansari moved his brewing equipment into the family business—an abrasives manufacturer in Brooklyn Center, MN—in the early 2000s, brewery tours and a taproom were probably the furthest thing from his mind. In fact, taprooms weren’t even legal yet. A few years later the “Surly Bill” literally changed the rules, allowing patrons to visit brewery taprooms and have ‘pints on premise.’ We’re not sure if Surly will keep tours at the original facility going after the ‘destination brewery’ is built, but go anyway! Check their website for current tour info. Tours are limited to 30 people so you might have to go early to score a spot on the list. But that’s not the worst way to spend a Saturday, now is it?!

The beer is wonderful at Town Hall! The wait staff on the other hand……………I’ve never felt less welcome at ANY restaurant.
