Live Music and a Meal at Locavore Serenade Featuring Lucy Michelle

Locavore Serenade is a series of intimate dinners pairing an expansive menu of small plates, festive cocktails, and acoustic performances from guest musicians. The next Locavore Serenade is on December 1 from 6–9pm at the Chowgirls Parlor located at 1224 NE 2nd St in Minneapolis and welcomes local sweetheart Lucy Michelle as the musical guest. According to Chowgirls press release, “The December menu reflects Lucy’s chosen theme of gathering and it will be prepared with local and organic ingredients by Chowgirls. Only 40 seats are available.”

The Current’s David Campbell will be the emcee for the evening and will help guide the conversation with Lucy Michelle throughout the meal. Never been to Locavore Serenade? Here’s what you can expect:

A gathering is another way to say party, so for this Locavore Serenade Chowgirls will prepare an expansive menu of delicious small plates and provide fun, festive cocktails along with a hot cocoa and hot toddy bar. Upon arrival guests will receive a complimentary sparkling welcome drink followed by a meals-worth of Chowgirls’ finest appetizers and samples of new dishes. The menu includes butternut bisque soup shots, mushroom and leek eggrolls, roasted vegetable paté, wasabi crab cakes, bastilla filled with chicken and apricot, arancini (rice pillows stuffed with meat and vegetables), beef stroganoff, and pork loin skewers accompanied by cherry-rosemary marmalade. Chowgirls’ pastry chef will prepare an assortment of dessert bites, which will be served with coffee or tea. The evening promises to be a friendly, festive event.

Tickets for family style seating are $45, but you can reserve a table for two for $80, a table for four for $160, or a table for six for $240. Gratuity not included. Cash bar available.
