The Minnesota-grown business—and Growler Magazine contributors—Dinner on the Farm have announced a partnership with Brooklyn Brewery to present a series of farm dinners that will kick off each stop on the Brooklyn Brewery Mash Tour in 2014. If you live in Minnesota you may be aware of Dinner on the Farm. The six year old Minnesota start-up has been hosting farm-to-table events in and around the state for more than five years which include ‘underground’ dinner parties, pop-up ‘Cinefeasts,’ and their signature ‘traveling farm dinners’ that intend to “celebrate farms, chefs, breweries, and food entrepreneurs dedicated to good, sustainable food.”

The two businesses teamed up for an event on Brooklyn Brewery’s inaugural Mash tour last year and hope to keep the momentum going into season two.“We’re so excited and grateful to join this incredible Brooklyn crew on the road, where we’re sure to form lasting relationships with sustainable food artisans around the world.” says Dinner on the Farm founder, Monica Walch. “The opportunities this provides us to further our mission of connecting people back to the land, their food,  and their farmers are immeasurable.”

Each stop of the Mash will include a week of parties, comedy, concerts, pop-up supper clubs, farm dinners, readings, and more—all centered on Williamsburg-based Brooklyn Brewery’s storied line of craft beer. “The Mash is an expression of Brooklyn art, music, food, and the cultural links we see with many cities around the world,” says Brooklyn Brewery President and Co-founder Steve Hindy. “There is a revolution happening in the world of food and the world of beer, and we are happy to celebrate this revolution with our friends around the US.”

This year’s Mash tour will kick off in Nashville, Tennessee on Sunday, March 2nd, the first of 12 stops to American and European cities including:

  • Nashville, TN
  • New Orleans, LA
  • Chicago, IL
  • Stockholm, Sweden
  • Washington, DC
  • Pittsburgh, PA
  • London, UK
  • Twin Cities, MN
  • Philadelphia, PA
  • Boston, MA
  • Miami, FL
  • Austin, TX

Dinner on the Farm will hit the road with the legendary New York brewery to bring their picnic-style celebrations of farmers and local food to an even wider audience in 2014. In each city on the Mash tour, Brooklyn Brewery and Dinner on the Farm will host an afternoon of world class craft beer, farm tours, live music, and a feast inspired by the local bounty and prepared by some of the nation’s most exciting chefs. These casual Sunday gatherings promise a fun and educational afternoon with family, familiars, and some new friends.
