More than 30 covers designed by various artists, including Brent Schoonover, were commissioned for the book. Art for this iteration was provided by Dan Schoening with color by Luis Antonio Delgado.

As every media outlet has informed us, today is “Back to the Future” Day—the day in “Back to the Future: Part II” that Doc Brown and Marty McFly travel to in order to save Marty’s future son from disaster.

We’re not going to join the hordes of other blogs listing out all the things the movie got right and wrong. We have something better: a comic book penciled by local artist Brent Schoonover, inked by our very own DWITT, and written by Bob Gale, the creator of the “Back to the Future” trilogy.

The book explores how Doc and Marty first met. It’s currently in all comic book stores, and a sneak peek of it can be seen here.

On Wednesday, October 28, Brent will be at The Source in Roseville for a signing.
