Another West Coast brewery is setting its sights east.

San Diego–based Ballast Point Brewing & Spirits confirmed plans to build a $48 million East Coast facility in Botetourt County, Virginia, according to a report from Brewbound.

Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe met with company officials at their headquarters in San Diego during his September 2015 West Coast Marketing Mission. Virginia successfully competed against several Eastern states for the project, which will create 178 new jobs.

Ballast Point, which was acquired by Constellation Brands for $1 billion last year, will purchase an existing 259,000-square-foot building and install a large-scale production brewery, distribution warehouse, and retail taproom. The building is more than twice the size as the brewery’s largest Miramar location.

“In our quest to provide the best quality, freshest beer to all of our customers, an East Coast brewery started to make a lot of sense to us,” Ballast Point founder Jack White said in a press release. “We are excited by the opportunity we see in Botetourt County, and we’re looking forward to getting to know the local community as we get established there.”
