Bauhaus Brew Labs has gone off-the-wall—or rather, Over the Charts—with an entirely new series of beers.

The Over the Charts series will be a departure from the Northeast Minneapolis brewery’s more sessionable beer recipes. And the first release in the on-going series is Sky-Ten! Double IPA, an amped up version of the Brew Labs’ Sky-Five! Midwest Cöast IPA.

“The Over the Charts series speaks to the fact that while we’re not necessarily known for brewing beers with big, bold flavors, that doesn’t mean we don’t love those kinds of beers. We just needed to find the right outlet for some of our more unconventional ideas. That’s exactly what Over the Charts is all about,” says head brewer and Bauhaus Brew Labs president Matt Schwandt. “We couldn’t think of a better style to kick off this series than a big, Double IPA.”

The 8.8% ABV beer will debut at select retailers throughout the Metro and Greater Minnesota, as well as the brewery, the week of October 10. Sky-Ten! will be available in a limited amount of 750-milliliter bottles. Draft pours will also be accessible in the taproom, at certain local bars, and a few establishments out-of-state.
