Festival Palomino announces 2016 lineup and it does not disappoint

Festival Palomino

Festival Palomino, the outdoor music festival curated by Trampled by Turtles, is set to return to the infield of Canterbury Park on September 17, and the 2016 music lineup announced Wednesday morning does not disappoint.

While it seems a tall order to top last year’s festival (Father John Misty’s half-crazed, rapturous performance alone was worth the price of admission), this year’s lineup will match, if not exceed, expectations.

Along with headliner Trampled by Turtles, the festival stages will host Dan Auerbach’s side-project The Arcs, multi-instrumentalist Andrew Bird, British rock-n-roller Jake Bugg, and some of the best local strummers and pickers around including The Cactus Blossoms, John Mark Nelson, Devil’s Flying Machine featuring Charlie Parr, and Frankie Lee.

Tickets for Festival Palomino go on sale Friday, May 20 at noon. Visit festivalpalamino.com for more details.
