It’s official: September 1, 2016, is “Finnegans Brew Co. Day” in Minnesota

Governor Dayton proclaimed September 1, 2016 as Finnegans Brew Co. Day in Minnesota.

Raise a glass to FINNEGANS on September 1, 2016, as Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton has officially proclaimed it to be “Finnegans Brew Co. Day.”

Founded on September 1, 2000, FINNEGANS is built on a philanthropic mission—battling hunger. The company contributes 100% of its profits to the FINNEGANS Community Fund, which purchases food to stock local food shelves. “Finnegans directly impacts the lives of those living with hunger through its mission of ‘Turning Beer into Food’ and serves as a catalyst to social entrepreneurs by demonstrating how social innovation can build strong communities,” the proclamation states.

Head over to The Liffey in St. Paul from 5–7pm, to join in on the fun with the FINNEGANS team. The Liffey will be offering $2.75 pints of FINNEGANS Irish Amber, Hoppy Shepard, and Freckled Rooster, while FINNEGANS’ Reverse Food Truck will be parked outside collecting food donations throughout the day.

While FINNEGANS is contract brewed at Summit Brewing Company today, they’re currently working with construction company Kraus-Anderson on a hotel/microbrewery mashup, or “brewtel,” which would allow FINNEGANS to shift production from Summit to their own facility in Minneapolis.
