The Bachelor Farmer, Marvel Bar, and Askov Finlayson celebrate five years in the North Loop neighborhood with their fifth and final Kräftskiva!, from 5pm to 10pm on Saturday, August 6. Indie rock favorite Metric will headline the annual summer block party/crayfish festival.

“Kräftskiva! 2016 will be our fifth and final, and we’ve decided to go out with a bang,” Eric Dayton, co-owner of The Bachelor Farmer, Marvel Bar, and Askov Finlayson, said via press release. “The past five years have been incredible, and we can’t wait to celebrate with all our friends and neighbors. This is our way of giving back to the community and thanking everyone for their amazing support along the way.”

In addition to celebrating their fifth anniversary, The Bachelor Farmer will also be toasting chef Paul Berglund’s recent James Beard Award for Best Chef: Midwest.

In keeping with tradition, The Bachelor Farmer will provide a menu for purchase of chilled crayfish with crown dill, as well as some classic favorites, including meatballs and grilled sweet corn. Marvel Bar will serve adult snow cones, Fulton beer, and aquavit.

Tickets to the crayfish party are now on sale for $25 at kraftskiva2016.com. For the second year, all proceeds from the evening will benefit a local nonprofit. This year’s recipient will be Climate Generation, Askov Finlayson’s partner in their ongoing Keep the North Cold Campaign. Funds raised will help support Climate Generation’s important work educating Minnesota students to become future leaders in the fight against climate change.
