Lupulin Brewing will release their first bottled beer, Imperial Raspberry Truffle, to members of their Founding Sponsor program on Saturday, Feb. 27 and a week later on March 5 to the general public at their Big Lake, Minnesota, brewery.
The imperial porter was aged on cacao nibs and 15 pounds of raspberries per barrel, and its “rich body and sweet malt flavors combine with hints of chocolate and coffee to compliment the bright flavors and acidity” of the raspberries, Lupulin said in a press release.
Imperial Raspberry Truffle will be released in 750ml bottles for $15 each. It will also be on draft in Lupulin’s taproom beginning March 5 and on tap at Hollywood Roadhouse in New Germany and POUR in Otsego (it will not be available in growlers). Attendees at the Saturday session of Winterfest will also have a chance to try it at Lupulin’s booth.
Matt Schiller, Jeff Zierdt, and Aaron Zierdt opened Lupulin Brewing in May 2015 as the first brewery in Big Lake. They focus primarily on American- and Belgian-style beers.
