Rochester’s Grand Rounds Brewpub is serving a special infusion tonight for 10,000 Minutes of Minnesota Craft Beer
May 9-15 is 10,000 Minutes of Minnesota Craft Beer, a week of special events and tappings that celebrate the state’s growing craft beer scene. Below is a list of events registered with the Minnesota Craft Brewer’s Guild for Monday, May 9. Check back each day this week for more events happening near you.
Twin Cities
Barrio Edina, MN Craft Beer Dinner, 5 pm – A five-course dinner prepared by the chefs at Barrio and featuring beers from Bauhaus, Bent Paddle, Fulton, Indeed, and Surly. Tickets are available by calling (952) 920-1860 and will cost $65.
Barrio Minneapolis, MN Craft Beer Dinner, 6 pm – A five-course dinner prepared by the chefs at Barrio and featuring beers from Bauhaus, Bent Paddle, Fulton, Indeed, and Surly. Tickets are available by calling (612) 333-9953 and will cost $65.
BLVD Kitchen and Bar, 612Brew Day, 11am–10pm – Featuring happy hour pricing on all 612Brew beers with the opportunity to meet some of the brewers.
The Herkimer, Toolers Weiss Release, 10am–midnight – Toolers Weiss is The Herkimer’s Hefeweizen and they suggest pairing it with their cream pie. Get some!
Grumpy’s Downtown, Bauhaus Tap Takeover, 4–10 pm – Celebrity bartender Benjamin Robert Russsell will pouring beers from “The Haus” beginning at 4pm. Try to order another beer and you’ll get a Bauhaus selection of his choosing!
Northbound Smokhouse, Hammerheart Feature, 5pm–1 am – The popular Lino Lakes brewery will be featured on three tap handles at Northbound Smokehouse. Smoked beer and porketta… Yum!
Ray J’s Northeast, Fulton vs. Insight Tap Takeover, 4pm–midnight – Fulton and Insight go head-to-head at Ray J’s in Northeast. Insight lineup will include Trollway, Hell Chicken, Devil’s Companion, Lambton Dragon, Sunken City, Phantom Taxi, Golden Ale, and Battering Ram. Fulton will feature Lonely Blonde, Sweet Child of Vine, Ringer, 300, Insurrection, War and Peace, Randonneur, and Expat.
Duluth
7 West Taphouse in Duluth, Spring Fest 5–9 pm – Bent Paddle will be featured on the handles at this Duluth restaurant. Look for Double Shot Double Black as well as a special infusion along with four other beers from the popular Duluth brewery. There will also be games, prizes, and swag giveaways.
Pizza Luce Duluth, Bauhaus Brew Labs Craft Can Karaoke, 7–11pm – All Bauhaus cans will be $1-off if you participate in karaoke and we’re being told that you can expect a lot of Prince covers.
Southern Minnesota
Brau Brothers Taproom, Sheephead Night, 6–9 pm – A Sheephead card tournament is going down at 6pm. If you don’t know how to play, the staff will teach you. It will cost $5 to play with the winner taking 100% of the pot. Call (507) 929-BEER to make your reservation.
Grand Rounds Brewpub, Limited Edition Infusions, 11am–10pm – Hop Bollocks Session IPA infused with mango will be on tap.
Forager Brewery, Preserved Lemon Gose Release, 11 am–11 pm – Nothing says summer like a well-made Gose. Get down to Forager as soon as you can if you want to try this beer, for there is only a single five-gallon keg of this one to go around.
Forager Brewery, Trivia Night, 7–9pm – Show off all of that useless knowledge at the Rochester taproom. Winners of each round receive a free round of beers. The overall winner at the end will take home crowlers of Forager beer.
Weeklong Events
Bemidji Craft Beer Tour, various locations, May 9–22, 11am–10pm each day – To participate, pick up a Bemidji Craft Beer Tour Card at Green Mill, Brigid’s Pub, or 4 Point Grille & Bar in Bemidji, drink a Bemidji Brewing Company beer while you’re at each establishment, and have them stamp your card. Bring a completed card into Bemidji Brewing’s taproom and receive a free pint.
Canal Park Brewery, MN Craft Beer Week, May 9–14 – Special cask releases and the chef’s burger of the week will be available, which will incorporate Canal Park beers.
Forager Brewery, Bike or Walk Program, May 9–14 – Bike or walk to the brewery and receive a free mini beer, cup of coffee, or soda when you show your server a selfie displayed on your Facebook page.
