FINNEGANS Brew Co. recently announced the release of the newest beer to join its year-round lineup: Hoppy Shepherd.
The session ale features a blend of Admiral, Centennial, Citra, and Jester hops with aromas of apricot, grapefruit, and tangerine. It clocks in at 4.6% ABV and 50 IBUs.
Jester is a tricky hop to track down in the United States, says Finnegans, adding that they feel fortunate to have access to it thanks to their brewing partner, Summit Brewing Company.
Hoppy Shepherd will be available on tap and on sale at local liquor stores in six pack bottles starting February 11.
FINNEGANS’ business model is such that 100 percent of profits go toward supporting hunger alleviation programs in every market where its beer is sold.
