New Glarus Brewing is heading into summer with a slew of beer announcements.
First up is the brewery’s first of three R&D releases for 2016. According to New Glarus, Vintage 2015 is an American geuze that is naturally coolship soured in New Glarus’ Wild Fruit Cave. The beer features Wisconsin wheat and aged Hallertau hops that impart citrus fruit and farm aromas, and is also 100-percent spontaneously fermented in oak. New Glarus is releasing Vintage 2015 at the brewery and at two events on June 10 and 11.
Next, cans of the brewery’s pale ale, Moon Man, are hitting shelves starting Monday, June 13, according to a report from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. This is the first beer from New Glarus to be canned, though Spotted Cow isn’t far behind. New Glarus co-founder Deb Carey, who created the original branding for the brewery, also created the more colorful artwork featured on the cans.
And if that wasn’t enough, New Glarus Bubbler hit market this week. The new summer seasonal is a light-bodied and bubblegum forward hefeweizen. The beer is live and bottle conditioned with the brewery’s new Bavarian yeast strain.
