Last Friday it was Indeed’s turn to host New Belgium in the ongoing collaboration between the two breweries. The beer of the day? Strawberry Fields Ale, a kettle-soured fruit beer that utilizes New Belgium’s house lactobacillus strain.
Expect the beer to pour a hazy red with aromas of tart strawberries and citrus, a light mouthfeel, and noticeable lacto tartness on the tongue with a hint of sweetness from the strawberry, which will be added post-fermentation.
Strawberry Fields is expected to be ready by late May or early June and will be available at Indeed’s taproom in addition to a few locations around town that are still TBD.
