Christmas is coming a day late this year for St. Paulites, as Revival St. Paul will officially be opening on December 26.
Revival St. Paul is located in the old Cheeky Monkey space at 525 Selby Avenue. Revival owners Thomas Boemer and Nick Rancone, who were included into The Growler’s 2016 Trailblazers, opened the original Revival location in Minneapolis back in 2015 with Southern dishes such as smoky collards, mac and cheese, and of course, their juicy fried chicken.
The St. Paul menu is different from its Minneapolis counterpart, but have no fear—it includes fried chicken. The Pioneer Press reports that the biggest change from the Minneapolis locale’s menu will be the addition of a “serious barbecue program,” made in a Southern Pride smoker, which can smoke 21 briskets at a time. The St. Paul location will offer a wide range of barbecue options as a part of their whole-hog program, which will showcase techniques from different cultures.
In addition to the food, there will be cocktails. Neither of Boemer and Rancone’s other restaurants—Corner Table and Revival—have a full liquor license. Revival St. Paul will be their first venture into a full bar program.
