The St. Cloud State University athletic department got approval from the City Council to serve beer at its hockey arena, reports St. Cloud Times.
St. Cloud State is serving beer on only two dates: January 1 and February 27. The beer sales are an experiment to study fan reaction. They also are following the rules established by the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities board that allows beer at campus events with the college president’s approval but can only be sold once every 30 days.
