Northeast Minneapolis will get a taste of the Caribbean on September 26 when Tattersall Distilling launches its new Blackstrap Rum. The 90-proof spirit is made from 100% molasses.
The public can head to the distillery and cocktail room from 5–10pm on Monday, September 26, to try the smoky-flavored rum, as well as jive to reggae, dancehall, and dub tunes from Feel Free Soundsystem, all while enjoying Caribbean-inspired food from Lyn 65’s food truck, Wyn 65.
Tattersall will also offer two of their other recent releases–Blueberry and Cranberry Liqueurs–at the celebration for people to sip on.
Editor’s note: a previous version of this story stated this was Minnesota’s first blackstrap rum. That is incorrect. St. Paul’s 11 Wells also makes a blackstrap rum.
