Tin Whiskers to release first barrel-aged beer for 2nd Anniversary

Tequila Barrel-Aged Wheat Wine

Tin Whiskers Brewing is celebrating its second birthday by giving the gift of beer.

The Downtown St. Paul brewery is releasing Tequila Barrel-Aged Watts Wheat Wine, its first-ever barrel-aged beer and the first in its Phase Shift Barrel Series, in bottles on Saturday, June 18.

Wheat wine is a version of barley wine that uses roughly 50 percent or more wheat in the grain bill. Tin Whiskers released Watts Wheat Wine, a 9.4% ABV strong ale, for its first anniversary last year.

Tequila Barrel-Aged Watts Wheat Wine will be available at the taproom in 750-milliliter bottles starting at noon. With only 500 bottles, there’s a limit of two per customer.
