U.S. Senators to lead Antitrust Subcommittee Hearing on AB InBev / SABMiller merger

 

With the AB InBev / SABMiller mega-merger agreed upon in principle by the companies, U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota announced yesterday that she and U.S. Senator Mike Lee of Utah will lead a hearing of the Senate Subcommittee on Antitrust, Competition Policy and Consumer Rights to look into the implications of the merger.

Klobuchar, who is the ranking member on the subcommittee, made the announcement in a Facebook post that touches on some of the reasons for holding the hearing.
