GiveMN, the organization behind today’s Give to the Max Day, launched in 2009 as a collaborative effort led by the Minnesota Community Foundation and many other organizations committed to helping make Minnesota a better place. GiveMN links donors with organizations to enable charitable giving throughout the year on its website, GiveMN.org.
On Give to the Max Day, every donation made through GiveMN.org is entered into an hourly drawing for an additional $1,000 donation, and two organizations will be randomly selected to receive an additional $10,000. The first Give to the Max Day was a smashing success, raising $14 million in 24 hours, and that momentum continues today—as of noon $2 million had already been donated and high levels of traffic forced the organization to scale back to a more basic version of its website.
We here at The Growler have had the pleasure of partnering with the six below organizations at various times throughout our existence, and we encourage you to donate to them today, or a cause that’s near and dear to you, for Give to the Max Day.
