Everything must go at Nye’s Polonaise Room, the iconic Minneapolis bar and restaurant that closed its doors on April 3.
Auction Masters is currently running an online auction that includes everything from light fixtures and furniture to A/V and kitchen equipment, signage and decorations, and even clothing.
The auction is live now through Monday, April 18, and winning bidders must pick up their items on April 19 between 10am-6pm.
We scrolled through the items up for grabs and picked out a few of our favorites.
Nye’s sign from front of building – Current bid: $390
It doesn’t get more iconic than the actual sign that graced the front of Nye’s for its 67 years in business.
“Chopin Room” sign – Current bid: $186
Second only to the above sign is the “Nye’s Chopin Dining Room” signage. The painted portrait of Chopin that hung on the walls inside Nye’s is also for sale.
Piano bar – Current bid: $500
“Sweet Lou” Snider sang and played piano behind this bar at Nye’s for nearly 50 years before she passed away earlier this year. Her piano and stool are also up for sale.
Original polka bar drummer stool and foot pedal – Current bid: $110
Another piece of history in the auction is the original drummer stool and foot pedal from Nye’s polka bar.
Nye’s menus (current bids: $3-$17), coasters ($35-$50), and plates ($20-$96)

“C-shaped” booths – Current bids: $200-$500
Dining at Nye’s felt like taking a step back in time, and perhaps nothing contributed to that feeling more than sitting in one of these booths. The “Elvis Booth” is even up for grabs.
Various light fixtures – Current bids: $120-$560

All of Nye’s eclectic light fixtures are included in the auction.
Bar stools – Current bids: $36-$50
Several of these 30-inch red bar stools are included in the auction.
But the crown jewel of the entire auction may just be (drumroll, please)…
Wood panels signed by Guy Fieri – Current bid: $90
A relic from his Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives visit to Nye’s, Guy Fieri left his mark on the place as only Guy Fieri can—by defacing a section of wall. Sure to appreciate in value over time, that wall can now be yours.
