There are plenty of opportunities to grab a fresh, local beer at a sports game these days, but one Minnesota baseball team is taking things to the next level by bringing fans straight to the beer source.

The Duluth Huskies baseball club has teamed up with the Duluth Experience, a local tour company specializing in brewery tours, to offer a new ticket package that includes a pre-game tour of Wade Stadium, a trip to and from Bent Paddle Brewing Company for beer sampling, and a ticket to the game.

The tour of Wade Stadium, the home of Duluth’s Northwoods League baseball club and the College of St. Scholastica’s baseball team, will be led by Huskies general manager Greg Culver. There’s plenty of history to take in at Wade Stadium, which was built in 1941 using 381,000 bricks removed from the surface of Grand Avenue in 1940. The field was updated in 2015 with an astro-turf artificial surface, state-of-the-art drainage system, new lighting, and a new scoreboard.

The ticket package, called the Pre-Game Pourtage, costs $25 on Wednesday home games starting on June 21 and ending on August 2, and is available on Duluth Experience’s website.
