Welcome back, Alma. It’s like you never left.

After owner and chef Alex Roberts purchased the entire building Restaurant Alma is located in and closed in August to complete an expansion, Alma is back—with a couple new roommates.

Hotel Alma is a seven-room botique hotel located on the upper floor of the building. Each room is unique and designed to “make guests feel like they are staying at a friend’s home.” Cafe Alma is on the ground floor adjacent to the restaurant and serves breads, pastries, and coffee in the morning, soups and other cafe fare during the day, Bittercube cocktails after work, and refined entrees in the evening.

Our biggest takeaway from our visit there last week? The new cafe and hotel feel like natural extensions of like the restaurant we’d already known and loved. What Roberts and company have accomplished with this expansion just feels right. (For more background see our story on the thinking behind the expansion from earlier this year.)
