Posters and Pints, a new art show, beer tasting and fundraiser, will be held Saturday, June 21st from 6 to 10pm. The inaugural event showcasing the booming Northeast Minneapolis Arts and Brewery district will be held at the Uppercut Boxing Gym (above).
Original, numbered beer-themed posters from some of the Twin Cities’ top creatives (including Adam Turman, DWITT, Josh “Jawsh” Lemke, Studio On Fire, and many more) will be sold for $30. Proceeds from the ticket sales and a portion of poster sales will help fund Art Buddies’ mission to provide creative professional mentorships to urban youth.
Breweries sampling at the event include 612Brew, Dangerous Man, Day Block, Indeed, Lift Bridge, Steel Toe, Summit and Tin Whiskers. Craft sodas will be provided by the Nordeast Brewers Alliance. Food available for purchase at the event will include Aki’s Bakery (German pretzels), Borough (bringing a take on the Parlour burger), GastroTruck (baked goods using spent brewing grain) and Natedogs (with his terrific beer mustards).
This is a 21+ event and tickets are available now. General Admission ($20) includes a take-home pint glass for your night of beer sampling. A Designated Driver ($5) ticket allows a non-beer sampler to attend and sip sodas at a reduced rate.
