Tin Whiskers Brewing Company is proud to announce the release of the Lecky Scottish Ale available today, January 29, 2015, exclusively at their taproom. What’s with the name? Lecky is a Scottish slang for electricity, which keeps the consistency of the electrical engineer beer themes but adds a little European flavor to the mix.
“The Lecky is a great Scottish Ale with a nice peated, smoke aroma and taste. Similar to a Highland Scotch. This is a great beer for the Scotch drinkers out there,” says Jeff Moriarty, president and co-founder of Tin Whiskers.
Making their triumphant return to the taproom are special guests the Brian Boru Pipe-Band, who will be stopping by at 6:00pm to play a few songs and celebrate. They last appeared at the Tin Whiskers grand opening back in June 2014 and shared the stage (and bag pipes) with St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman. To raise the stakes and fun for the release, anyone who wears a kilt into the Taproom that day gets a pint on the house! Taproom is open from 4:00pm until 10:00pm on Thursday, January 29, 2015.
