Locally-owned craft beer bar and restaurant Republic announced today that they will host two unique beer kick-off events with Bent Paddle Brewing Co. next Thursday, February 6th. Both of Republic’s locations – Seven Corners and Uptown – will begin featuring Bent Paddle Brewing Co.’s Venture Pils Pilsener Lager, 14° ESB Extra Special Bitter, Bent Hop Golden IPA and Black Ale. Not only will they be pouring those beer must-haves, but they also got their hands on a keg of Bent Paddle’s Cold Press Black Ale, infused with fresh Duluth Coffee Co. “Crazy Juice” cold press coffee and currently available only to those in Duluth at Bent Paddle’s taproom.

Bent Paddle’s CEO and Director of Brewery Operations Bryon Tonnis will be at Republic Seven Corners on Thursday, February 6 from 4:00-6:00 pm and at Republic Uptown from 7:00-9:00 pm to answer questions and share thoughts with fellow beer aficionados. Laura Mullen, Bent Paddle Brewing Co. co-founder and VP of Outreach & Events, commented on Republic saying, “Republic is a phenomenal craft beer bar. Their respect for the beer is apparent in all that they do,” said Mullen. “We are so excited to have Bent Paddle Brewing Co.’s full line-up of beers at both Republic locations.”
Republic co-owner Matty O’Reilly said “We are very excited to welcome one of Minnesota’s finest breweries to Republic. Bent Paddle makes awesome beer that is drinkable, balanced and fresh. We’re looking forward to bringing their beers to our guests.”
Republic was named one of the Top 100 Beer Bars in America in 2013 and 2014 by Draft Magazine. Their criteria for selecting this list is “Having well-cared for, thoughtfully selected beer with an eye toward variety, trends and tradition, in the kind of place you’d want to stay awhile, delivered by someone who knows their stuff.”
