A weekend trip to Chicago’s Lollapalooza each summer is an annual tradition for indie rock fans from across the Midwest and beyond. This three-day festival is jam packed with local talents, regional up-and-comers, and international powerhouses playing on eight stages around Grant Park in downtown.

WE Fest || Detroit Lakes, Minnesota
August 6–8
For a few days each summer Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, becomes Mecca for country music fans. Since its inception in 1983, thousands upon thousands of fans have donned their leather boots and big hats, and flocked to the small rural town to see the top acts in country. The Country Music Association has twice nominated the festival for its prestigious Best Special Event award, solidifying its status as a top-tier country music festival in the nation. This year’s festival boasts a lineup featuring headliners Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, and Rascal Flatts.

Summer Set Music & Camping Festival || Somerset, Wisconsin
