Joseph Alton and Erik Stolhanske talk about brewing, “Super Troopers 2,” and maple syrup // Photo still from video shot by MPLS Film Co.
It was a Super (Trooper) Tuesday at Barrel Theory.
Erik Stolhanske—aka “Rabbit”—was in the house with The Growler crew for a special brew day on February 20 at Barrel Theory Beer Company in St. Paul.
All the action streamed on Facebook Live, from sampling a glitterized “Snozz Project Dry Hopped Fruited Unicorn Sour” from “Mashmaker” author Michael Dawson to chatting with the Broken Lizard actor/comedian about the upcoming “Super Troopers 2” film, releasing April 20.
Stolhanske lent a hand in the brewhouse during the day, helping Barrel Theory’s Timmy Johnson brew a special blueberry porter. But it wouldn’t be a true Super Troopers brew without one key ingredient: maple syrup.
But this blueberry maple porter is still without a proper name.
That’s where you come in, Growler Nation. Watch the video above and whoever concocts the best name for our “Super Troopers 2” beer will not only have the crediting acclaim, but he or she will also win two free tickets to this Saturday’s Winter Beer Dabbler.
All you have to do is leave your name suggestion in the comments on this video on Facebook. But you better act fast, submissions will only be accepted until Friday, February 23 at 12:00pm CST. The winner will be announced at 5:00pm on the same day.
