Attn: Cross-trainers! If you’re looking for a great workout that doesn’t seem like a workout, come tap with MAC! This class is for people who have taken some tap in the past and have a basic vocabulary. Beginners/Early Intermediates who are interested in putting their skills to use are welcome here. Brush up on your steps through combination work.

Freaky Friday

NEW! When an overworked mother and her teenage daughter magically swap bodies, they have just one day to put things right again. Freaky Friday, a new musical based on the celebrated novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney films, is a heartfelt, comedic, and unexpectedly emotional update on an American classic. By spending a day in each other’s shoes, Katherine and Ellie come to appreciate one another’s struggles, learn self-acceptance, and realize the immeasurable love and mutual respect that bond a mother and daughter.

Hennepin Theatre Trust recently announced the 2016-2017 Broadway on Hennepin Season, featuring the best of Broadway with five Minnesota premieres and five returning favorites.

Making their Minneapolis premieres are “Fun Home” (winner of five 2015 Tony Awards including Best Musical), “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” (the 2015 Tony Award-winning Best Play), Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “The King and I,” (2015 Tony Award winner for Best Revival of a Musical), “Matilda The Musical” (2013 Tony Award winner), and “The Bodyguard,” which launches its North American Tour at the Orpheum Theatre.

Theater Latté Da and Hennepin Theatre Trust will also be celebrating the fifth anniversary of their collaborative partnership with an encore presentation of “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street,” which was named the Best Show of the Year in Minnesota by The Star Tribune.

“Cabaret,” “Wicked,” “Motown The Musical,” “Rent,” and “Mamma Mia!” are also returning.
