The Love of Beer MMAA Project Space

On Friday, April 4th, the Minnesota Museum of American Art (MMAA) Project Space will host its First Friday Films event with the theme being craft beer. This event is free and open to the public, registration is not required. Doors will open at 6pm and the event will run from 6:30pm–8:30pm.

The featured film will be The Love of Beer, a 72 minute documentary that follows women in the Pacific Northwest craft beer industry trying to end stereotypes about beer production and consumption. Following the film will be a discussion about craft beer with Doug Hoverson, author of Land of Amber Waters: The History of Brewing in Minnesota and a key Growler contributor, along with Urban Growler Brewing Company‘s Jill Pavlak and Deb Loch. Urban Growler Brewing Company is the first women-owned and -brewed microbrewery in the Twin Cities.

Craft beer and popcorn will be provided, so don’t miss The Love of Beer screening and craft beer conversation at the MMAA Project Space at 332 N. Robert Street in St. Paul. For more information, click here.
