The Mash-Up: Releases for the New Year (and the parties to come with it)

With over 185 breweries now pouring their beer in Minnesota, there’s always something new to try. To keep you up to date, we present The Mash-Up—our weekly rundown of new beers and seasonal releases in Minnesota from your favorite local and national breweries. Visit growlermag.com every Friday for the latest or sign up for a weekly email.

The last week of the year means many things. Some people reminisce while others look ahead, and some just keep the holiday parties in full swing. All three routes are reflected in this week’s beer releases, with numerous big IPAs and sweet stouts with extra flavors celebrating the holiday season.

Meanwhile, breweries look ahead in different ways. Bent Paddle has announced a large lineup of 2020 beers, including Wild Tux kettle sours and a range of infused specialties. Bad Habit is looking ahead to warmer days with the announcement of a beach-themed January blowout, and Fair State is looking to the aftermath of the holidays with a low-calorie, low-ABV “Dry January.”

Each week, The Growler’s editorial team highlights five of the most tantalizing new beers hitting taps and store shelves that we’re most excited to try.
