Mayor Hodges will declare this Thursday “SIX ONE TWO BREW DAY” in the city of Minneapolis. To celebrate, 612Brew will host a party with 6.12% of proceeds donated to charity. Drink $3 pints and $8 flights to music on the amphitheater.
In other charitable drinking news, Brew Solutions, a fundraiser for Grand Aspirations, is happening this Thursday at Day Block Brewing, and imbibe at Third Street on Friday to support Habitat for Humanity.
Apparently there’s some kind of large soccer tournament beginning this weekend and the Nomad World Pub is ready to stamp your passport.

Dashfire Bitters and Mighty Axe Hops were among the 70 businesses announced as semifinalists for this year’s Minnesota Cup, a competition recognizing the state’s most innovative business ideas.

Bell’s Brewery is going high-concept with a seven beer series based on Gustov Holst’s “The Planets”. Mars, The Bringer of War, a double IPA, will begin the series in August.
