The Mill is settling into the summer groove with street festivals, sidewalk seating, and the running path on Lake Calhoun looking like 694 during rush hour.

Brew News:

Indeed Brewing has announced their “Indeed We Can” initiative, in which all net profits from Wednesday taproom operations (3-11pm) will be donated to a local non-profit. They write that representatives from the non-profits will usually be on hand to talk about their operations to interested patrons.

Lift Bridge Brewing is headed for a Sunday taproom license, reports Stillwater Current. And stay tuned for more updates from The Growler this week on Minneapolis’ efforts to initiate Sunday taproom openings.

Events coming up:

After two weeks of soft sales, Tin Whiskers Brewing is set to hold an official grand opening party this Thursday, June 5th. Mayor Chris Coleman will cut the ribbon at 4pm, and expect swag giveaways and an irish pipe band among other festivities throughout the evening.

Day Block brewer Paul Johnston is turning the big 3-0 on Saturday! To celebrate, they’ll have live music from Sabby White & The Furnace (9pm, no cover) and beer specials. Oh, and Day Block will be paired up with the Hibachi Daruma food truck for the Beer Dabbler at TC Pride.

Speaking of the Dabbler, Republic’s Red River Kitchen food truck had a successful first week on the streets, and they’re paired with Schell’s for the event.

Summit will be pouring at the Lyn Lake Street Festival. The 5th annual uptown block party will be held this Sunday, June 8th, from noon-8pm in the parking lot behind The Jungle Theater and Fuji-Ya. Musical guests to include Rogue Valley, Ashley Gold, and headliners, Secret Stash Soul Revue.

And tickets are still available for the St. Paul Summer Beer Fest, this Saturday at the Fairgrounds.

Fulton Beer has released their first ever summer seasonal. They call The Randonneur “a summery saison brewed with German malt, Australian hops, French yeast, and American flair.” Get a pint today at Grumpy’s NE or starting tomorrow in their taproom.

And 612Brew is releasing Mary Ann this week. The ginger-infused lager is set to debut Thursday at, where else, Ginger Hop.
