It’s Thursday and you know what that means… The Weekend Events Preview is here just in time to celebrate the first day of spring! Celebrate the Spring Equinox by going outside, enjoying Firkin Fest, and attending a beer release or tap take over.

Harriet Brewing Company’s 2nd Anniversary

Celebrate Harriet Brewing Company’s 2nd Anniversary with 12 days of festivities. Enjoy live music, food trucks, sour aged beer, and other awesome surprises. Enjoy the last weekend of their anniversary with three live shows. Thursday’s show is The Mad Rippble Hootenanny, in their tap room. 5:30 pm // 3036 Minnehaha Ave, Minneapolis, MN

Beer Dinner with Surly and Indeed at Sapor Cafe & Bar

Enjoy a beer binner that features two terrific local breweries, Surly Brewing Company and Indeed Brewing Company. Arrive at 6:30pm for first Beer and a Bite. Then at 7pm, Surly’s Corey Shovein and Indeed’s Nathan Berndt will introduce the beers and the 3-Course Dinner with Beer Pairings will begin. 6:30pm // 428 Washington Ave North, Minneapolis

Founders Smoked Porter Release

The Lowry in Uptown Minneapolis will be one of the only restaurants to have Founder’s Smoked Porter and they are releasing the first pints tonight at 5pm! Founder’s Smoked Porter is a limited release and bottles will not be availbe in Minnesota, so claim your seat at the bar and enjoy. 5pm–9pm // 2112 Hennepin Ave South. Minneapolis

Rock Bottom Fire Chief Ale Promotion

Rock Bottom Brewery is hosting their annual Fire Chief Ale promotion—a special beer release with “fiery” menu with items like the 3-Alarm Brisket Chili and Campfire Shrimp. Lucid GOSLAR Release

Firkin Fest at The Happy Gnome

The Happy Gnome is hosting it’s annual Firkin Fest on Saturday! Beginning at noon, under a heated tent in the parking lot of The Happy Gnome, over 90 casks from nearly 50 breweries from Minnesota across the country will be tapped. Check out the first installment of the North Shore Craft Beer Roundtable called The Drink of Opportunity.” The panel for “The Drink of Opportunity” session takes place in Duluth at the Teatro Zuccone. Duluth/Superior brewery and brewpub owners, Eddie Gleeson of Carmody Irish Pub & Brewery, Tim Nelson of Fitger’s Brewhouse, Steve Knauss of Thirsty Pagan Brewing, Rockie Kavajecz of Canal Brewing Company, and Bryon Tonnis of Bent Paddle Brewing Company, will discuss on a panel and answer questions. 1:00pm //
