With an annual attendance of 300,000, the MN Ren Fest is the largest of its kind in the United States. Each weekend, for the price of admission, guests have access to 16 stages of live entertainment (with multiple show times each day), jousting shows, glass-blowing and blacksmithing demos, and 250 artisan booths for shopping. In addition to the entertainment and shopping, guests can purchase fair-themed food and beverages, including beer, mead, and wine. There are also many medieval-themed carnival games, including knife and axe throwing, fencing, and dunk-a-wench.
Be prepared for the crude comedic shtick of the whole event: historically inaccurate jokes, painfully obvious sexual innuendos, people wearing faerie costumes, and the guy who shouts insults toward guests at the tomato toss game. The unhinged weirdness of the Ren Fest is all in good fun. 12364 Chestnut Blvd, Shakopee, MN || 952-445-7361
