Lots of event going on this weekend! From Rock the Garden to The St. Paul Summer Beer Festival, there’s too much to do and too little time.
Here’s a snapshot of what you can plan for this weekend:
Saturday, June 15th:
Join Stout’s Pub for the official St Paul Summer Beer Fest Pre-Party with their KEGS & EGGS BEER BRUNCH! A full buffet of brunch favorites featuring Summit beer used in nearly every dish! What a great way to start your day for the St. Paul Summer Beer Festival right next door at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. Tickets are $12.95 (get a free pint of Summit when you purchase in advance!) Limited availability!
Join Harriet Brewing for an electric summer picnic with bands like God Johnson, Nathan Miller & Unstoppable Co., Frogleg and Jeff Ray & Hurricane Harold. Multiple food truck options will be available. Music will start at 2pm and go till 10pm. Stop in for an afternoon and evening of beer, art, food & music. Facebook page here.
The 5th Annual St. Paul Summer Beer Festival returns to the State Fairgrounds with more breweries, food and music. If jam bands float your boat, The Big Wu will be playing this year. Grab your pretzels, your lanyards and your bad self and head on over to the Fairgrounds.
Rock the Garden 2013 takes place at the Walker on Saturday, June 15 for about 10,000 folks gathered on the grassy hill next to the gallery. More tickets have been made available on 89.3 The Current through Etix (they previously sold out only hours after opening ticket sales a few weeks ago).
Sunday, June 16th:
Make Dad happy with two of his favorite things: beef and beer! Bring him to this Heavy Table feast featuring locally produced, grass-fed beef of Thousand Hills Cattle Company and the Belgian-inspired local craft brews of the Boom Island Brewing Company. The grown-up menu by Chowgirls Killer Catering will please dads and moms alike, and their special kids’ menu will make the youngsters happy, too. Choose from two seatings: 4:00PM or 6:30PM.
Call Chowgirls for tickets (their online ticketing system does not appear to be working as of 4:55PM, June 12th). A portion of the proceeds from this meal will support Open Arms of Minnesota.
